Jakarta Satpol PP Continues to Intensify Health Protocols Monitoring

The Jakarta Satpol PP keeps intensifying health protocols monitoring in the capital, despite the number of COVID-19 cases continuing to decline.

This can raise their awareness to be more obedient to the rules

According to Jakarta Satpol PP Head Arifin, residents and business owners must always be reminded to comply with health protocols. It was a must, which aims to awaken them to have a sense of responsibility and commitment to containing the spread of COVID-19.

"This can raise their awareness to be more obedient to the rules. Moreover, sanctions are given as a part of our efforts to save their life," he asserted, Tuesday (3/29).

Satpol PP Information Data Section Head Adi Krisno Prayoga noted, during March 21-27, 2022, a total of 7,008 people were caught not wearing masks. 6,972 were subject to social work sanctions and 36 were fined.

"We have collected roughly Rp 2.8 million in fines," he informed.

On the other side, the monitoring was also applied to food stalls, cafes, restaurants, and companies.

Based on the data, 21 out of 1,437 monitored business places were given written warnings. While the rest were subject to disciplinary sanctions in implementing health protocols. Besides, 15 out of 259 monitored offices were also given written warnings.

"From 1,233 other monitored business places, 58 business places are given written warnings and 2 other business places are suspended for 3x24 hours," he stated.
